Course Outline
In AP Physics C, students explore the fundamental laws that govern motion, forces, energy, and electricity. The course is divided into two semesters: Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism, each providing a rigorous, calculus-based foundation for future studies in engineering, physics, and other STEM disciplines.
Prerequisites
Strong Algebra Skills
Students should be able to manipulate algebraic expressions to solve for unknown quantities.
Comfort with Trigonometry
Students should be comfortable working with trigonometric functions and vectors for two- and three-dimensional problem solving.
Familiarity with Calculus
Students should either be enrolled in or have completed a calculus course. Basic differentiation and integration will be applied in the course.

What if my student misses a class? Every lecture is recorded so students can review material or catch up if they miss a session.
Does this course include the AP exam? No. Students register for the AP Physics C exam through an authorized testing high school. Guidance on this process can be provided.
What if my student has already taken AP Physics C:Mechanics? Students who have already completed AP Physics C: Mechanics may be interested in continuing with AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism. Please contact us to learn more.
What if my student isn't sure they're ready? Prospective families are encouraged to reach out before enrolling. We're happy to discuss your student's background and whether the course is likely to be a good fit.
Is this course suitable for beginners? No. This is an advanced, calculus-based physics course intended for students with a strong mathematical foundation and potentially prior physics experience.
What are the prerequisites? Students should have: -Strong algebra skills -Proficiency in trigonometry -Prior high school physics experience is a plus but not required -Enrollment in (or completion of) a calculus course
